What is AEO, and how is it different from SEO?+

AEO — answer-engine optimization — is the work of becoming the source that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews cite when a buyer asks a question. Classic SEO ranks pages in a list of ten blue links; AEO earns a citation inside the answer itself. Different signals, different playbook, increasingly the higher-leverage channel.

Do we need to choose between SEO and paid media?+

No, and treating them as separate budgets is usually how growth programs underperform. Paid buys you traffic while organic compounds, and the keyword data from paid is the fastest input into SEO and AEO targeting. We run them as one program with shared reporting.
