What is AEO?
Answer Engine Optimization. Where SEO targets Google's blue links, AEO targets the AI tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini — that read your site and cite it in chat answers. Same goal (be the source someone trusts), different audience.
Will this conflict with Yoast / RankMath / AIOSEO?
No. AEO Toolkit respects their noindex flags and emits a separate JSON-LD graph. You can disable our schema if you'd rather use only theirs — the rest of the toolkit (llms.txt, robots manager, crawler log) keeps working.
Does this guarantee my site gets cited by ChatGPT?
No plugin can. AEO Toolkit gives AI crawlers the cleanest possible read of your content, the same way a sitemap helps Google but doesn't guarantee ranking. The rest is content quality, freshness, and authority — same fundamentals as classic SEO.
How is data sent to ad-apt.com?
It isn't, on Free. The free plugin makes zero outbound calls. Pro contacts api.ad-apt.com only to validate your license key (every 12 hours, fail-open if we're down) and ping AI bots on publish. No content, no analytics, no telemetry leaves your site.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro and Agency are month-to-month or year-to-year, no contract. Cancel from your billing portal and keep access until the period ends. Yearly plans get a 14-day full refund window.
What happens to my license if I miss a renewal?
Your site stays running on the Free tier — the plugin doesn't break, Pro features just stop. Re-activating restores everything (your settings + crawler log are preserved).
Is the source code open?
The free plugin is GPL-2, available on the WordPress.org plugin directory. Pro features ship in the same codebase, gated by license check.
